Listen to Regulators' Forum

The maritime sector is currently undergoing a rapid technological transformation, and therefore the Danish Maritime Authority is putting human factors and human-centred design principles on the international agenda. In October 2025, the Danish Maritime Authority gathered participants from maritime authorities, classification societies, and seafarers for the Regulators’ Forum in Copenhagen.

In the coming decades, shipping will be characterized by new technologies that will challenge the existing regulatory frameworks. In October 2024, the Danish Maritime Authority brought together more than 40 participants from countries around the world for the Regulators’ Forum 2024.

In October 2023, the Danish Maritime Authority hosted the Regulators’ Forum, which focused on ammonia as a future fuel for shipping. This podcast from the international meeting provides insight into some of the pressing questions and challenges related to the handling of ammonia.
