The Danish Maritime Authority

The Danish Maritime Authority is part of the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs and works to strengthen the framework conditions for the maritime industries, ensure safety and environmental protection on board ships, develop occupational health and social conditions for seafarers, and enhance the sector’s contribution to security of supply and the green transition of shipping.

The Authority has approximately 200 employees. Around 150 are based at our headquarters in Korsør, while the remaining staff are located across the rest of the country.
